We have been on fertility treatment for the past 2 years finally last August we found out I was
pregnant before it got chance to sink in I sadly miscarried days later. We kept trying and again in
July of this year I fell pregnant for the second time.

We went for an early scan which is a procedure after IVF treatment to find a healthy baby or so it
seemed. At 11 weeks I started to have a small bleed and was rushed to the hospital for a scan, this
is when our heartbreak began. We were told our baby had an oversized bladder (megacystics) we
initially thought it is only a bladder surely something can be done. To our horror we were told it
was very serious condition affecting only 1 in 10,000 boys and was even more rare in girls. we were
then referred to Newcastle RVI to see a professor who deals with issues like this. After our first
scan and consultation we felt like we had a little bit of hope as he told us things could be done to
correct this as 90% of the time it is a boy but in girls it was alot more complicated.

We went back a week later to have the tests done to determine the sex of the baby if the chromosomes
were ok and to have the babys bladder drained.
4 days later we phoned for the results to be told the chromosomes were fine but it was a girl which
made things virtually impossible but we were prepared to keep fighting for our little baby girl.

We attended the RVI on 18th November 2008, everytime they had scanned our little girl she couldn't
keep still, she was a little wriggler and she was so perfect. Today she was still and we knew there
was something wrong they then confirmed that she had passed away. We feel she did it for her mammy
and daddy as she knew they were going to be asked to end her life as further tests revealed her
kidneys were not functioning at all. She was born sleeping on 20th November 2008, she came so
peacefully and tried not to give her mammy any more pain and heartache as she knew she had suffered
enough.

Lilly Ella Hall you were so beautiful, you were 17 weeks and 2 days. You had mammy's fingers and
toes and daddy’s height as you where so long. You looked so peaceful and where everything we
imagined you would be. Although you caused us heartache you made an imprint in our hearts. We will
never forget you and one day we will get to meet you again.

We love you millions
Mammy and Daddy

A special Niece

You will always be so special to us. We needed a special little girl in our lives. You have been that one. Although we never got to hold you, cuddle you and show you how much we love you. You will never be forgotten. Just touching you and having you in the room with us has help heal the loss we so sadly feel. I kissed your little head and will never forget how my heart ached when you had to go. You have gone to watch over us all. You were so special God choose you to be his little angel. R.I.P. baby girl and we will take good care of your mammy & daddy for you.
Love always & forever
